Reliable download via FileZilla SFTP

FileZilla SFTP Setup

  • Open FileZilla and go to File → Site Manager.
  • Click New Site and name it (e.g. “Y‑BAM”).
  • Protocol: SFTP – SSH File Transfer Protocol.
  • Host: linuxpro.systems, Port: 2222.
  • Logon Type: Normal.
  • User: genomeviewer, Password: (as provided).
  • Click Connect.
  • In the remote pane, navigate to /genome.
  • Drag Y_only.bam and Y_only.bam.bai to your local folder.
  • If the transfer is interrupted, simply reconnect and drag again – FileZilla will offer to Resume.
SFTP (port 2222) is encrypted and secure. The resume feature works automatically – no extra configuration needed.
